Due to rapid urbanization, a balance between resources and urban growth is required. For the achievement of this equilibrium, the use of information technologies is essential. smart cities are the answer to this requirement, as a result, they improve various aspects of urban life and address related challenges and/or mitigate them. Modern technologies, including a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, are used in smart cities for collecting and analyzing data on different aspects of urban life to enhance their inhabitants' lives. smart cities improve the sustainability and efficiency of urban dynamics. Today, smart cities can enhance services and citizens' lives in various fields such as governance, education, healthcare, transportation, and energy. smart city applications require collaboration among individuals from various disciplines, including engineering, architecture, urban design, and economics, to plan, design, implement, and deploy a smart solution for a specific task. Therefore, a proper understanding of the applications and architecture of smart cities and the challenges they face is crucial. In this paper, we will provide background information about the applications of smart cities, describe the architecture of applications in smart cities, present security and privacy challenges to examine robustness and flexibility in smart city applications, and examine new trends in this field.

Achieving airport smartification requires an efficient management Patterns and models in covering airport operation, aeronautical operation and passenger services. The strategic and business objectives of this field require a step-by-step engineering model in organization and execution. Considering that in the field of aviation operations, management with perspective of general Administration does not support all aspects of effectiveness and required performance, sometimes it even causes ambiguity. In this article, a hierarchy of Corporation, Strategy, Business, Operational, Functional and feedback layers is presented in order to cover planning, implementation and control, in the management engineering program. Also, smart Airport Management Solution (SAMS) and smart Airport Management Processing (SAMP) are provided in the field of Operational Experience.

smart GRID IS A MODERNIZED ELECTRICAL GRID THAT USES NEW TECHNOLOGIES, EQUIPMENT AND CONTROLS TO RESPOND DIGITALLY AND IMMEDIATELY TO NEW ELECTRICAL DEMAND. THE smart GRID IS A COMBINATION OF POWER, COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURES. ALONG WITH DEVELOPMENTS IN POWER INFRASTRUCTURE, SOME NEW CHALLENGES WILL BE EMERGED IN IT INFRASTRUCTURE OF smart GRID. ELECTRIC POWER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AND WIDEST DOMAINS OF THE smart GRID WHICH ALLOWS FOR TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE UTILITY AND CUSTOMERS. DISTRIBUTION AUTOMATION AND IT SOLUTIONS FOR ACTIVE NETWORK MANAGEMENT PROVIDE THE FOUNDATION FOR THE OVERALL TARGET OF smart GRID. THIS PAPER PRESENTS A NEW ARCHITECTURAL MODEL BASED ON HOLONIC MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS FOR IT INFRASTRUCTURE OF smart GRID IN ELECTRIC POWER DISTRIBUTION GRID. THE PROPOSED architecture PROVIDES A NEW COMMUNICATION MODEL FOR IT ENTITIES ACCORDING TO THE COMMUNICATION PRINCIPLES IN HOLONIC MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS. IT BENEFITS FROM HOLONIC STRUCTURE FEATURES SUCH AS FLEXIBILITY, HIGH TOLERABILITY AND SCALABILITY. DATA ENCAPSULATION AND THE ROLE OF COMMUNICATION INTERFACES IN INFORMATION EXCHANGE IN THE PROPOSED HOLONIC architecture ACHIEVE HIGH LEVEL OF SECURITY FOR THE SYSTEM.

This paper examines in detail the little-known Friday Mosque (masjid-i jāmi‘) of Firdaus, located southwest of the Khurasan, which has had a key role in developing Saljuq architecture in the area. The original scheme of the mosque was unclear. The lofty īwān and two flanking dome chambers on the west (qibla) side of the courtyard are the central core of the mosque. The main aim of the article is to analyse the architecture of the mosque and demonstrate its association with the architectural style of the Saljuq mosque in the Khurasan area.  During the conservation and restoration measures in 2006, some fresh materials were unearthed. The new findings shed light on the original features of the mosque and revealed its formation. The paper describes the city's history, defines its architectural characteristics, and then analyses the present information for replying to the research questions. Owing to the outcomes of the archaeological investigation, the study suggests the general scheme of the mosque as a further example of the two- īwān mosque, which may be dated to the late years of the 6th /12th century. Despite the importance of the mosque, no lengthy study has been published about the building. The accurate drawing of the plan and sections of this monument, with the proposal scheme for the reconstruction of the mosque, are being published in this paper for the first time

This study explores the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in designing and managing sustainable urban environments. Through a comprehensive literature review, we examined topics such as AI, sustainable architecture, smart cities, urban planning, and energy efficiency, selecting articles that provide significant insights into AI's influence on the built environment. The research highlights how AI-driven innovations, including data-driven decision-making, energy optimization, and predictive maintenance, enhance urban infrastructures' efficacy, resilience, and sustainability. Case studies demonstrate AI's impact on energy-efficient building design, smart materials selection, and intelligent urban systems such as traffic management, water distribution, and waste management. AI-powered tools, such as generative design and predictive analytics, enable architects and urban planners to create adaptive, resource-efficient solutions that address global urbanization and climate challenges. However, challenges such as data interoperability, ethical concerns, and computational demands remain. Despite these limitations, AI is poised to set new benchmarks for sustainable urban development, promoting flexible, ecologically friendly ecosystems. AI holds immense potential to redefine urban design and management, fostering innovative, sustainable solutions to global urban challenges.

THIS PAPER PRESENTS A NOVEL FRAMEWORK BASED ON HOLONIC architecture FOR THE VOLTAGE CONTROL SCHEME WITH PRIORITY ACTION OF smartPARK. THE PROPOSED STRUCTURAL architecture IS A HIERARCHICAL DISTRIBUTED STRUCTURE IN WHICH TWO VARIOUS INFORMATION DOMAINS CALLED CONTROLLER HOLON (CON-HOLON) AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM HOLON (EMS-HOLON) ARE DEFINED. MOREOVER, IN THIS STRUCTURE A DYNAMIC RECONFIGURATION METHOD FOR HOLONS IS PROPOSED TO REDUCE THE TIME OF CORRECTIVE ACTIONS IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES. THIS architecture PROVIDES FLEXIBILITY TO CHANGES IN THE ELECTRICAL NETWORK, RESILIENCE TO DISTURBANCES, SECURITY AND INFORMATION ENCAPSULATION. IN ADDITION, IT REDUCES THE EXTRA COMMUNICATIONS AND PROVIDES AN OPTIMAL COMMUNICATION MODEL FOR CONTROLLER ENTITIES IN VOLTAGE CONTROL FRAMEWORK.

The smart manufacturing in the context of a smart factory is allowed through different uncertain processes which make big challenges. In this case, smart manufacturing should be applied reliably, interoperable, and consistently. Thus, it faces the requirement for orchestrating services provided by uncertain processes to satisfy the challenges. These uncertain processes are commonly managed by an uBPMS which is specifically designed to address unknown conditions. The current uBPMS architecture does not consider the business process orchestration and the objective of this paper is to achieve an extension of uBPMS architecture with business process orchestration feature to make a response in real time and satisfy the uncertainty conditions in smart factory. The proposed extension can perform autonomous orchestration of business processes inward traditional uBPMS architecture based on desired values of different objectives optimization. This new architecture operates based on a robust bi-level optimization approach. The Rousselot smart factory in Belgium as a simulated case study was studied. The results show the robustness of the new architecture for process orchestration design in this case. Also, uncertain business process management based on the process orchestration feature presents efficiency and accuracy improvement in smart manufacturing systems.
